For anyone who hasn't seen or heard Pickens' ads, the link is below.
He will be the only one running more ads than 0bama for some time to come.
I have some concerns about his plan - not sure wind power can be
harnessed sufficiently as an electric power source. If wind power can
produce enough electricity, I would hope it would hook into the
existing electric power grids rather than need a whole new network.
If any of his ideas work, great. IMO his biggest public service at
this time is keeping energy issues in the open. Everything from his
ideas to domestic oil production to ethanol, biofuels or whatever
anyone can come up with should be on the table and under full
consideration. Some may be needed at least until such time as others
can get to market for the longer term.
