Subject: IMO, the biggest mistake is McCain thinking he'd get a fair shake
Posted by: Jim from Duluth on Tue Jul 22 2008 10:23:58 PM
Message:

Actions like that from the likes of the NY Times, over a period of
years, are exactly what opened the door for talk radio, Fox News, etc.

I've thought all along the time & effort McCain has spent currying
favor from the 'mainstream' media in DC would be worthless in a
presidential campaign. So far, it is obvious to me he was counting
heavily on "a fair shake" from those types and is having to adjust on
the go to the idea that he will not be treated any differently than
any other Pub in a national election.
