was his third strike, not his fourth strike. The previous times was
a fight and selling his complimentary tickets. Regardless, his @ss
needed to be gone. As for how it would be handled if it were Rainey,
Harvin, etc as Korndawg suggests it better not have been handled any
differently. This is a situation where if this was one's first
strike, that is enough right there. No, I don't beleive if it were a
starter it would have been "swept under the rug". This guy was a 5
star player out of HS and our secondary needs all the help it can
get. The bottom line is that what warrants immediate expulsion here
regardless of who the player was, is the total lack of a moral
compass. The fraud is bad enough but the immoral act of it all is
what turns my stomach. The way I see this is that this is NOT a UF
issue any more than a kid getting in trouble for whatever reason at
UGA or any place else is an issue at that particular school. It is
simply a case of a scumbag who happened to be at school x. It's like
what if he were arrested for doing the same thing but just lived in
Jax and say worked at Wal Mart? It wouldn't be a Wal Mart issue. It
is just a Jamar Hornsby issue.
The only way something like this becomes an issue for the school is
if it was not handled accordingly no matter who the player is. I'd
just as soon never hear that SOB's name mentioned again.
