Message:

Perno held Fields out last Sat. not wanting to use him in back to back
games. That's OK during the season but won't cut it in the NCAAs.

I was scratching my head over the decisions in the bottom of the 7th
last night, too. I realize Perno was trying to use defined roles with
Weaver being set up man for Fields, but when Vandy quickly got the
lead back in their half of the 7th I thought we should have gone ahead
and brought Weaver in to try and stop Vandy right there (when it was
obvious Holder was out of gas) instead of sitting Weaver down,
scrambling to get a middle reliever (Esmonde) warmed up and leaving
Holder in until Esmonde was ready.

All in all, I wonder if we're simply worn down from the tough grind
all season, which started with the tough OOC games before SEC play.
It is critical that we avoid getting swept this weekend.
