Holder to miss SEC tourney

Trevor Holder walked off the mound and into Georgia's dugout clutching
his right shoulder.
After giving up six runs off of two home runs in the second inning of
the series opener against Alabama on Friday, the Bulldogs' starting
pitcher complained of shoulder stiffness.
Holder (7-4, 4.48 ERA) is expected to sit out of the SEC Tournament
next week.
"We're going to give him his due rest and make sure he's ready to go
for the Regional," Georgia coach David Perno said.
Before Friday's doubleheader, Perno said he made the decision to give
Nick Montgomery the start in Georgia's opening game of the SEC
Tournament on Wednesday. Stephen Dodson is expected to start the
second game and Nathan Moreau will start the third game.
Holder's 1 2/3 innings Friday was his shortest outing of the season.
He gave up six runs on seven hits, while walking one and striking out
one in just 12 batters faced.
